Mourning Over a Knightess: A Muslimah April 3, 2008
Posted by Ghuraba in : Uncategorized , 2 commentsSometimes words cannot describe, due to the weakness of the describer,
Sometimes words cannot describe, due to the greatness of the describedâ€
By Brother Louis ‘AtiyyatullÄh
How shameful life becomes, when your lips cannot utter any words, and your pen is dried, and your light is extinguished…
How shameful life becomes, when you see and hear a Muslim woman wearing the HijÄb, in the midst of one of the capitols of kufr and tyranny, Moscow, saying that she would have died without any value anyways in her own land– so it wouldn’t be of any harm, then, to die and take the lives of hundreds of kuffÄr along with her… in their own country, in the midst of their strength and pride… You see that scene, and you cannot find any refuge, except in silence… bowing your head lowly, weeping over your manhood, which was looted from you by the regimes of hypocrisy, and the scholars of hypocrisy…

I was looking at those scenes, and I was captivated by the beauty of this Muslim woman… so silence… and silence, in the sanctity of beauty, is beautiful…
But this is a different type of beauty… it is the beauty of ĪmÄn, which flowered in her heart, such that she sought martyrdom in the Path of AllÄh…
The beauty of purity, and the purity of beauty… a beauty which does not remind you of lowly things, nor does it have negative effects upon you; but a beauty, which raises you high, till the stars high above…
A beauty, which reminds you of the meeting with AllÄh, in the noblest of places, that of JihÄd in the Path of AllÄh…

I witnessed five of these beautiful MuslimÄt, wearing black… speaking to the Ummah, the speech of courage and manhood, the speech of death…
I watched, and I said to myself:
Say to Malīhah, the one in the black veil,
What you have done to us, deafens even the devout.
But it is not as the original poet meant about what “MalÄ«hah†– MujÄhidah - has done to us… (here) it is what type of a dilemma she has placed us in, when she has thrown the most difficult test for manhood in this era…
I was captivated by those young women who were speaking with the ‘Izzah (pride) of ĪmÄn… and the loftiness of the Muslimah… And I was not able to do anything, except keep silent – Woe to me lest I would speak! How could I speak, when she knew of the depths of humility which I live in, along with thousands of others of those regarding whom it is written on their certificates – “maleâ€â€¦ indeed, what a true description that is, for we are not “menâ€, we are merely “malesâ€â€¦
I called my small sister to witness these scenes, and she shrieked when she saw them, and she said, “These are usâ€â€¦ she was not able to see any difference between them and herself… she felt herself as one of them… she said it involuntarily, “These are usâ€â€¦ then she remained, listening and I was keeping watch of her, and saw in her eyes a tear drop… then it became tears, then she left for she could not bare to witness these scenes… And do not ask what happened to me after that… my eyes could not attempt to watch, while it was my eyes which were humiliating me, and it would expose what I was feeling at that moment, of contempt against myself and all those males around me…
I was praying from my heart to AllÄh, that they detonate the explosives which they were wearing… the most hated to me, would be that I see a wretched kÄfir lift the NiqÄb by which she hid the light of her face … May AllÄh be pleased with her, and the MujÄhidÄt which were with her… or that an impure infidel, the most despicable creature, touch her pure body after her martyrdom…
And the cowardly kÄfir was disgraced, it did not dare lift the NiqÄb from your face, except after your martyrdom – As for during your life: Then how could a vile hyena come close to the knightess, the Muslimah?
Indeed you gave an oath to AllÄh, upon firmness and patience, and to kill and fight… And you endured patiently, till you fulfilled your covenant, and you were firm upon the path on which the most mighty men shake, on which falls to pieces the hearts of the most valiant cavalry… like that you were killed, in patience, and inspiring… what an excellent martyr you are!
Nothing can ever harm you after having attained martyrdom… as was said by your grandmother in courage and bravery… AsmÄ’ bint AbÄ« Bakr (may AllÄh be pleased with them): “Indeed the sheep is not hurt when it is being skinned, after it has been slaughteredâ€â€¦
If you had stayed behind with us, you would have put us in humility… when we were not with you at that crucial time, and we did not die as you died, but we were in comfort to bid farewell to you in the protection of AllÄh, Whose protection is never down… Indeed you were in your life, an example of dignity and honour… and in your death, you were the example of fearlessness and audacity…
May the salutations of AllÄh be upon you, for indeed you watched over your husband in his life… and after his martyrdom, you proved that you would travel to him through martyrdom, and watch over him once again… I ask AllÄh, that He bestows upon you and your sisters, the Highest Degrees in Paradise, and that He unites you with your husbands under His Mercy…
From that which sorrowed me, is that I do not know any of their names, otherwise, I would compel myself to compose a poem for each one of them…
Forgive us, O beautiful Muslimah- no sin is upon you… Indeed you called upon Mu’tasim (the KhalÄ«fah) for many years, but you did not find any Mu’tasim… rather, you found a multitude of debased cowards, who asked you, “Do you wear the HijÄb? Did you leave along with a Mahram?â€
Forgive us dear sister… Indeed you called upon Mu’tasim, yet you did not find anyone, other than a mass of “hermaphrodites†who sold their land, integrity, honour, and then got drunk at Caesar’s house, and danced upon your chastity and honour… Forgive us, WallÄhi, YÄ Muslimah…
We are the ones to be blamed, for we are the ones who placed those effeminate ones as “Defense Ministersâ€, and rulers and kings over us… and the outcome was what is was…
“And whoever plants a thorn,
He will not reap anything other than bitterness and sorrow.â€
Blessed be you, O young women of ShÄ«shÄn! Verily, you have returned admiration and awe for the Muslim woman, after the vile secularists tarnished her name into a cheap image…

Blessed be you, but you taught us a great lesson regarding manhood…
Indeed, one day we were dignified by the MujÄhidÄ«n, and by AbÅ« ‘AbdillÄh (UsÄmah ibn LÄdin)… and today the time has come for your pride, for what you carried out, was never before heard by history… nor can anyone do that, other than a Muslimah…
And no matter what we write regarding you, we can never do true justice to you… Rather, by AllÄh, you have thrown a piercing arrow into our hearts, which silenced us, and exposed our own reality in front of us…
“The arrow was accurate, and it silenced, when it shot,
My heart, and struck the beast.â€

And despite all which occurred, and despite the pain which grasped me, while I watched the pictures of my sisters and they were on the chairs of the theatre, martyred… despite that, it was pride that I felt afterwards, and it overpowered all the anguish…
The feelings I felt were mixed… at a moment, I am watching you, and my two eyes are drowning in tears, and then at a moment, I smile happily and in pride… and then I watch, and again the tears come…
Pride, that my sister in my home, learned a lesson – That she will never have to return to the need to call for the assistance of a Mu’tasim, nor of an effeminate defense minister, and she will rely upon AllÄh, and she will defend herself, while the real men decrease day by day, there is no harm that the young MujÄhidÄt solve problems themselves…
How can this not be, when the Path has been traversed by Chechen knightesses, MujÄhidÄt, MuslimÄt, and they have seen how they solve their problems when it becomes difficult, and they have understood how death is upon the methodology of IslÄm…
Indeed, if the Muslimah is to die at the hand of a kÄfir after having her virtue ravaged, then why should she not go by herself towards death, before she is touched by that kÄfir, so that a crowd of the infidels can die along with her… let this be the new way of death and dignity for the MuslimÄt…
Forgive me, O my sister, you spoke, and you gave us a few words at the beginning of your operation, regarding my abandoning of you… Forgive me, for it is difficult for me to even write this, and forgive me that I was not able to set forth and assist you and those MujÄhidÄt who were with you… What you did to me, and the distress of that which you left me with, has disabled me, and disabled my pen, and has put me in shame, and thus was born this letter, in the most anguishing manner possible…
Indeed, the hours in which I spent writing this for you, I repeatedly prayed that AllÄh accepts you all, and raises your status in the Gardens, and that AllÄh bestows upon me a day, in which I will stand upon your graves, and send salutations upon you, and pray for you, and to request from AllÄh that he lets me follow you (in martyrdom)… then I will attempt to protect whatever remains of that which is called “manhoodâ€â€¦ and then I will step aside from your graves, then I will weep…
Yes, I will weep over you O my sister, and I will take pride in my weeping over you, for verily, your likes are to be cried over, by AllÄh, for your likes heads are lowered due to embarrassment and shyness, from what you sisters took upon yourselves, and carried out in that sublime spectacle, as you did…
Pardon me, O my sister, for I was not capable of continuing, due to the tears covering my sight from my eye- and the immense splendour which you carried out, destroyed any purpose for me to write… perhaps, other than to just mention and remember you, and weep over you… in suffering, from your departure, and the departure of all those sisters who were with you… and the MujÄhidÄ«n… who were killed along with you…
I will cry over you, because the sun will rise in the days to come, but your radiance will never be upon the land again, as it was… and the sun will mourn… and I will cry…
I will cry over you, because the evening star will ask regarding you, but it will never see you glowing over the land, as you did in your life… and the evening star will mourn… and I will cry…
As for the moon? Then you were the moon… the false moon which we see in the sky will mourn by your departure… and I will cry…
The place you prayed SalÄt will mourn… and your prayer rug… and those winter nights in which you stood praying…
And the NiqÄb will mourn, with the HijÄb… and the entire world will mourn… and I will cry…

The Blood of the Shuhada March 26, 2008
Posted by Ghuraba in : Uncategorized, hadith , add a comment– The blood of the Shaheed smells of musk:
“By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, no one is injured in the Path of Allah – and Allah knows best who is truly wounded in His Path – except that he comes (with his wound) on the Day of Resurrection, its colour the colour of blood, and its scent that of musk.†[Muslim and Ahmad]
Permissability of Music March 6, 2008
Posted by Ghuraba in : Muslims, Naseeha, Sharia, Uncategorized, hadith, knowledge , add a commentAsalam Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakathu,
In the society we live in we hear music every where. Whether we are watching tv or we turn on the radio we are surrounded by music. Some shuyook have said that listening to music is alright as long as it is “islamic”. Many brothers and sisters say ”so and so said its alright soo that is why we are doing it” Our response is on the day of judgement your response to Allah so and so told me its ok punish them” will not suffice also do not look at what so and so said look at what Allah Azzawajaal tells us and what the Prophet pbuh said about this topic. Inshallah we will bring proofs from the Quran and the Sunnah to justify our stance on music, and to refute those shuyook who encourage this hated practice of jahiliyya.
proof number one-
“But there are, among men, those who purchase idle tales, without knowledge (or meaning), to mislead (men) from the Path of Allah and throw ridicule (on the Path): for such there will be a humiliating Penalty.” [31:6]
-Ibn Abbas (radhi Allahu anh) said idle tales in this verse “lahu al hadith” is evil and music.
-Ibn al Qayyim (rahimahu Allah) said, “The interpretation of the sahabah and Tabiyeen of idle tales is sufficient in that it means music.
Proof number two
“Do ye then wonder at this recital? And will ye laugh and not weep. Wasting your time in vanities?” 53: 59-61
Ibn Katheer (rahimahu Allah) said in his tafseer under this verse, Sufyan Althawry narrated that his father heard Ibn Abbas say “usmud” for us means sing for us.
Just these two verses out of several should be enough proof for a believer, but we will provide proofs from the Sunnah for those who say “no where does it say that music is forbidden. Let us remind you Allah Azzawajaal tells us to follow the Prophet PBUH in Surah Ahzab “Indeed in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for (the Meeting with) Allah and the Last Day…â€
Proof one from Sunnah-
The prophet (sallah allahu alieh wasalam) walked with Abdur-Rahman bin ‘Awf in between pine trees. The prophet (sallah allahu alieh wasalam) then placed his son Ibrahim on his lap and began to cry. Abdur-Rahman bin ‘Awf said, “Oh prophet of Allah do you cry when you stop us from crying?” He said, “I did not deter you from crying. I deterred you from two evil sinful voices - a voice with musical devilish instruments and a voice at a misery with scraping of the face and shredding of the clothe.”
second proof-
The prophet (sallah allahu alieh wasalam) said “There will be in my Ummah those who make it halal (permissible) adultery/fornication, silk, alcohol and musical instruments.”
Sheikh Al Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahu Allah) said this hadith proves musical instruments to be haram and “ma3azif” (the term in the hadith is a term used for all musical instruments.)
May Allah Guide Us.

Errors to Avoid in Salaah February 26, 2008
Posted by Ghuraba in : Muslims, Naseeha, Qur'an, Sharia, Uncategorized , 1 comment so farAsalam alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakathu,
Wearing pants, or garment that hangs below the ankles.
This is one of the greatest sins. Abu Dthar reported that the Messenger of Allah(p.b.u.h.) said: “There are three people whom Allah shall not speak to them on the Day of Resurrection, nor shall He look at them, nor purify them, and they shall have a painful torment: one whose garment hands down below his ankles, almannan and(a merchant) who sells of his merchandise by means of false oath.
Some people think that wearing clothes that hang below their ankles is a sin if they abstain from doing so while praying only. Others think that wearing such a garment is abstain only if it is worn out of pride; otherwise, they believe there is no harm in doing so.
However, the above and many other traditions indicate clearly that wearing clothes that hang below the ankles(for men) is a grave sin regardless of whether such garments are worn out of habit or pride.
Consuming food of bad smell such as garlic or onion before coming to prayer.
Angels and the praying people are bothered by offensive smell. On the contrary, one should wear perfume, if available, before coming into mosques. Jabir reported that The Prophet(p.b.u.h.) said: “He who eats from the smelly plant(garlic or onion), let him come not near our mosque; the angels are bothered by that which bothers men.
Proceeding to mosque for prayer with brisk walk, or even running for fear of missing part of the prayer.
This may disturb those who are already in prayer. The Messenger of Allah(p.b.u.h.) said: “When prayer has already started, do not walk quickly to join in. Proceed to it calmly ;then join in whichever part of it you catch up, and complete whichever part you missed.
Saying takberr al-Ihram while in rukoo.
Many of those who come late to the mosque and join in prayer which is already in progress, rush to take the same posture, while people are in rukooo and say takbeer al-Ihram, or opening takbeer of prayer while bowing for fear of missing that ruk’ah. Takbeer al-ihram is to be pronounced when one is standing upright only.
Mumbling the niyyah or intention, and uttering it in a low audible voice.
The heart is the place of intention. Mumbling words such as ‘I intend to pray such prayer or such number of rak’kaat, or ‘I intend to fast or to do such act of worship or another,’ just before starting praying in bid’ah which was practiced neither by the Prophet(p.b.u.h.) nor his companions, nor by their followers. Uttering the above words of niyyah allows shaitan to put irrelevant words in the mouth of the person who utters the niyyah.
Neglecting raising the hands in the opening takbeer of salah and before and after rukoo’, and upon standing up for the third rak’ah.
Abuullah bin Umar said: “I saw the Prophet(p.b.u.h.) raising his hands to the level of his shoulders, upon starting prayer, and before bending for rukoo’ and when he stood up again. Raising hands with every takbeer, subsequent to the first takbeer in janazah, Eed or rain prayers is not recommended. The messenger of Allah(p.b.u.h.) used to put his hands on his chest (while standing in prayer).
Neglecting praying facing a sutrah.
The sutrah is an object, such as a wall, or a post, which a person faces while praying. Or any other object which a person places to serve as a sutrah, by putting it on the ground in order that no one may cross in front of him while praying. The Messenger of Allah(p.b.u.h.) said: “Pray facing a sutrah, and let no one cross in front of you while praying. If he insists then prevent him by force because he is accompanied by shaitan.â€
Reluctance to stand in the front line in congregational prayer.
The Messenger of Allah(p.b.u.h.) said: “Were people to realize the value of making adthan, and the great reward(for doing so), and the virtue of standing in the first line (in congregational prayer), and had no choice but to make a draw (to decide who makes adthan or stands in the first line), they would have justifiably of coming early to (congregational) prayer, they would have raced with one another (to reach the mosque first). And if they were to know the great reward(for coming to mosque) for Isha’ and Fajr prayers, they would have come even if they had to crawl.
Gazing upward during prayer, or looking at the imam, right or left.
This may cause loss of concentration. We are commanded to lower our gaze, and look at the point at which the head rests during sujood. The Prophet(p.b.u.h.) warned: “Let those who raise their gaze up during prayer stop doing so, or else their sights would not return to them.â€
Leaving gaps in lines of congregational prayer.
The messenger(p.b.u.h.) commanded: “Straighten your lines, level your shoulders and block the gaps, shaitan passes through.â€
Lowering the head excessively, or pushing it up, and arching the back during rukoo.
The head must be kept in normal position, while the back must be straight during rukoo’ to form with legs a right angle. Sticking the arms to the sides of the body, in rukoo’ or sujood, and sticking the belly to the thighs in sujood. The Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h.) said: “Let not one of you support himself on hiss forearms(in sujood) like the dog. Let him rest on his palms and keep his elbows away from his body.†The Prophet(p.b.u.h.) used to keep his arms away from his body during rukoo’ and sujood that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen.
Hasty performance of prayer which does not allow repose and calmness in rukoo’ or sujood. The Messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h.) saw a man who did not complete his rukoo’(bowing), and made a very short sujood(prostration); he said: “If this man dies while praying in this manner, he would die upholding a religion other than the religion of Muhammad. Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him said: “My beloved friend Mohuammad, peace be upon him, forbade me to perform postures of prayer copying the picking of a rooster; (signifying fast performance of prayer), moving eyes around like a fox and the sitting like monkies, i.e. to sit on thighs. The Messenger of Allah(p.b.u.h.) said: “The worst thief is the one who steals from his own prayer.†People asked, “Messenger of Allah! How could one steal from his own prayer? He said: “By not completing its rukoo and sujood.†To complete rukoo is to stay in that posture long enough to recite ‘subhana rabbiyalAdtheem’ three times, slowly, and ‘subhana rabbiyal-a’ala three times, slowly, in sujood. He also announced: “He who does not complete his rukoo’ and sujood, his prayer is void.â€
Sitting in a tawarruk position in the last rak’ah of Fajr and Jum’ah prayers.
It is praiseworthy to take tawarruk position only in the last rak’ah of Dhtuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha’ prayers. Tawarruk is described in Sahih al-Bukhari as resting the body, during sitting position, on the left thigh and putting the left foot under the right leg, while setting the right foot upright; and supporting the body by the left hand with which the left knee is grasped.
Raising hands for du’a soon as prayer is over.
This was not practice of the Messenger of Allah(p.b.u.h.). The Sunnah is to start with dthikr soon after salah is over. The Prophet(p.b.u.h.) said: “When your recite, ‘At-tahiyyat…,’ (just before tasleem), choose whichever du’a you like.†The best forms of du’a are those authentically related to the Prophet(p.b.u.h.).
Crossing in front of a praying person.
The Messenger of Allah(p.b.u.h.) warned: “Were the one who crosses in front of a prayer person to know the consequences of doing so, he would have waited for forty better than to cross in front of him.†The forty in the tradition may be days months or even years. Allah knows best.
Walking away right after tasleem, at the end of prayer, and neglecting dthikr, which is reciting subhanal-Lah 33 times, alhamdu Lilah 33 times, Allahu Akbar 33 times, reciting La llaha illal’Laah 10 times reciting ayat al-Kursi(i.e. verse 255 of surah 2 al-Baqarah), or other authentic dthikr.

“In the name of God, most Gracious, most Compassionate”.
Aslamu ‘Alykoum Wa Rahmatou Allahi Wabarakatuh, ama ba’d.Â
Allah (SWT) says in the Quran:
(الْمَال٠وَالْبَنÙونَ زÙينَة٠الْØَيَاة٠الدّÙنْيَا (18:46
Â
The ayah says, that Wealth and sons are allurements of the life of this world. This ayah applies to many Muslims and non-Muslims these days because its very true. Everyone cares about getting a decent job and getting an average salary to survive and get married to have children to enjoy this world. However lets put something into perspective here. Allah SWT sent prophet Ibrahim (AS) to this world on a mission. Ibrahim (AS) was a man of patience and obedience. He never rejected the believe in Allah SWT but he managed to spread his message and because of him we are here today. Because of Ibrahim (AS) we are able to make Hajj in the house of Allah. Because of Ibrahim (AS) we are able to establish our prayers and even use the same dua that he used when he was in certain situations. One thing we forget about is what Ibrahim (AS) sacrificed for us and himself to be that obedient ‘Abd.
Prophet Ibrahim (AS) was married to Sarah (AS) and he did not have a kid from her until later on. Sarah was such a lawful wife that she offered her slave girl named Hajar to Ibrahim (AS) so he can produced progeny. Ibrahim (AS) had his first kid named Ismael and he was everything to him. But when that happened, Allah SWT told Ibrahim (AS) to take Hajar and Ismael to Makkah and leave them there. Lets back track here and analyze this for a second. I remember my mom would not let me walk to my bus stop alone or even dare to leave me alone in the middle of the streets because she was scared for me. My mom would not let me be on my own. I am sure your mom and everyone’s mom never left them stranded or even your dad’s never left you stranded in a forest etc. Hajar and Ismael who was a baby at the time was left in the desert with no food, water, shelter, wealth and people. All the physical needs we need to survive where not available for them in order to maintain an average survival. Subhana’Allah.
What kind of a man was Ibrahim (AS)? He was a man of sabr and tawakul on Allah SWT. Ibrahim (AS) had to leave his family stranded in the desert for the sake of Allah. He had tawakul on Allah SWT so he can take care of them when he made dua for them and said: “Our lord! Lo! I have settled some of my posterity in an un-cultivated valley near unto Thy holy house, our Lord! that they may establish proper worship; so incline some hearts of men that they may year toward them, and provide Thou them with fruits in order that they be thankful”(14:35-37). Allah SWT answered Ibrahim (AS)’s dua and he was able to bring people to that valley and proper worship was established and that valley is subhanaAllah is so cultivated now.Â
Prophet Ibrahim (AS) had tawakul on Allah SWT to leave his beloved family that mattered the most to him especially his son Ismael. He loved his son so much that Allah SWT tested him by seeing the dream of sacrificing him for the sake of Allah SWT. What did the prophet do? He obeyed Allah’s order and agreed to sacrifice his own beloved son for the sake of Allah SWT. Subhan’allah, Allahu Akbar.
Where are we standing today? What kind of mindset do we have today? For how long will be just scared and not even believe in our own message and the message of Millat Ibrahim (AS)? For how much will we be relying on empiricism things and not believe in Allah SWT even if we cannot see him? Dear brothers and sisters, please contemplate on this and use your brain and obey Allah SWT and have Tawakul(reliance) in him that you may prosper insha’allah.
Jazakoum Allah Khair.
