Hayyā Lil-Amām: Come Towards Us

At-Tibyān Publications

The Gardens of Paradise,

The Voice of the Maidens

Are calling for you, “O Young Men of the Era…”

Virgins on Pavilions

Holding her Passionate Desires,

They are Calling, “Come Towards Us…”

Rivers and Birds,

Palaces and Comforts,

This is the Bliss, Endless,

This is the Ecstasy,

A Pure Life,

The Heart is Satisfied, and No Fatigue,

Meeting the Messenger, After the Arrival,

And His Companions, the Warrior People,

O You Who Wants

Eternity and Beautiful Forests:

Come to the Battle

Because the Inactive One Will Not Get Anything,

And Here (in the Battle), You Can Receive the Mazīd (through martyrdom),

A Glance Towards Him (Allāh) in the Abode of Eternal Life…

A Glance Towards Him (Allāh) in the Abode of Eternal Life…

“She is beautiful with big lustrous eyes. A virgin as if she is an emerald. She has loved no one and will love no one but you. She was created for you and only you. If her finger appears it would overshadow the moon. If her bracelet appears in a dark night, it would leave no darkness in the universe. If her wrist appears, it would take away the mind of every sane human being. If she appears between the heaven and earth, the distance between them would be filled by her scent, and if she spits in the oceans of the world the salt water would turn fresh. The more you look at her the more beautiful she becomes. The more time you spend with her, the more you love her.

Does it make any sense to learn about such a woman and not try to meet her? What about when you learn that you will be married not to one, but seventy two of the Hoor!”

Asalam Alaykum Warahmatullahi Wabarakathu,

Hur Al’ Ayn is the most discussed  topic amongst the muslims. Unfortunately many people speak with out knowledge and speak incorrectly. Inshallah we will keep it short and sweet and after reading this post you will gain a better understanding of what a Hur Al’ Ayn is.

Allāh (تعالى) has prepared for His believing slaves in Paradise that which no eye has seen, no ear has heard and has never even crossed the minds of men, such that even the person who has the least blessings in Paradise will think that he is the most blessed among them. Abu Sa’eed al-KhudrÄ« (رضي الله عنه ) said that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم  ) said: “the lowest of the people in status in paradise will be a man whose face Allah swt turns away from the fire towards paradise, and shows him a tree giving shade. He will say, ” O lord, bring me closer to that tree so that i may be in its shade.. then he will enter his house in paradise and his two wives from among al-Hur al Ayn will come in and will say to him, “praise be to Allah Swt who brought you to life for us and brought us to life for you.’ then he will say” no one has been given what i have been given.”(Narrated by Muslim, no. 275)

Among the blessings that Allāh (تعالى) has prepared for His slaves are al-‘Hūr al-‘iyn. Allāh (تعالى) says (interpretation of the meaning):

“So (It will be). and We shall marry them to ‘Hur (fair females) with wide lovely eyes” [al-Dhukhaan 44:54]

Al-’Hūr al-‘iyn are extremely beautiful, such that the marrow of their shins will be visible from beneath their garments. Every man who enters Paradise will have two wives from among al-’Hūr al-‘iyn. Allāh (تعالى) says, describing them (interpretation of the meaning):

“Therein (Gardens) will be Khayraatun‑Hisaan [fair (wives) good and beautiful];

Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinn and men) deny?

‘Hūr (beautiful, fair females) guarded in pavilions;

Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinn and men) deny?

With whom no man or jinni has had Tamth [opening their hymens with sexual intercourse] before them.

Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinn and men) deny?

Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses.” [al-Rahmaan 55:70-76]

Umm-e-Salma ( رضي الله عنها ) mentions that she asked Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) to explain the Aayat, ‘There will be ‘HÅ«run-een’. (56:22). Nabi (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said, ‘ They will be women with wide eyes having a sharp contrast between the white of the cornea and the black of the iris. They will be fair complexioned and Their limbs will be free of hair like the wings of a bird.’

The women are not like the women of this world. They are free of al-Hayd [menstruation], an-Nifaas [post-natal bleeding], spittle, mucus, urine and stools. This is what is referred to in the aayah: “.. And they shall have therein Azwaajun Mutahharatun (purified mates)”[2:25]

The song of Hur Al’ Ayn

Samawayh reported in al-Fawaa’id from Anas that the Messenger of Allāh (تعالى) (saw) said, “al-’HÅ«r al-’Eeyn are singing in Paradise saying, “We are the beautiful houris, we are being kept for noble husbands”[Saheeh al-Jaami’, 2/58, no. 1598]

How many Hur Al’ Ayn will the males be given you ask?

The smallest number of wives that any one man will have in Paradise is seventy-two. It was reported that the Shaheed will have seventy two wives from amongst al-’Hūr a–’Eeyn [Mishkaat al-Masaabeeh, 3/357, no. 3834, at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Maajah from al-Miqdaam ibn Ma’d Yakrib]

Are the Hurs Jealous of the current wives of their husbands?

The Prophet (saw) told us that al-’HÅ«r feel jealous over their husbands in this world, if the wife of one of them upsets him. Ahmad and at-Tirmidhi report with a Saheeh isnaad from Mu’aadh that the Messenger of Allāh (تعالى) (saw) said, “No woman in this worlds upsets her husband but his wife from among al-’Hur Al Ayn will say, “Do not upset him, may Allah Swt KILL YOU! for he is with you temporarily, and soon he will be with us” [Saheeh al-Jaami’ as-Sagheer, 6/125, no. 7069]

We ask Allāh ( تعالى) to admit us to Paradise and to keep us far away from the Fire. May He bless us with the highest Firdaws, for He is the One Who is Able to do that. Praise be to Allāh (تعالى) the Lord of the Worlds.

We as Allah Azzawajaal to save us from the Fitna of this world in order to keep our deen strong.

We ask Allah Azzawajaal to show us the right path. Since he is the one who guides and without his guidance we are doomed to jahanam.
